New Deck Build
The homeowner had an older 12ft x12ft deck off the kitchen that was rotting and rusting. As they say, out with old, in with the new! I demolished the old deck and built a 500+ sq ft deck that not only replaced the old deck but extended across the house to a second 12ft x 12ft area. Plenty of space for BBQing, casual seating and a dining area!
Deck Facelift
For this project, the homeowner was preparing their house to sell. The deck was in rough shape -- with the railings and stairs being by far the worst parts. The homeowner opted to keep the floor boards in place, but replace everything else. The old railings and stairs were taken out and replaced with brand new cedar. I also added a built-in bench with storage! Looked like a brand new deck for a fraction of the cost.
Cedar Bar with Built-in Cooler
This was a fun one, as the client was yours truly! The inspiration for this one came from a friend of mine, but I decided to take it to a new level with extra space for drinks or food, as well as storage at the back for napkins, cups and plates. The perfect piece for outdoor entertaining!
Lakeside Firepit
Perhaps a little strange for a carpenter to build something that burns wood, but alas, firepits make for such a beautiful outdoor feature of any backyard. This build, by the lake, made for an amazing finished product.
